At Ayot Mead we have brought together a team of specialist independent financial advisers with considerable experience in personal and business financial planning, with a particular strong focus in wealth management.

Clearly no individual adviser could ever possibly be an expert in all the different financial aspects, just as your Doctor could never possibly specialise in all matters of health. But by combining the unique skills and expertise of several specialist advisers we have been able to form a financial planning centre of excellence.

By implementing strategic leaders in each financial niche, we have developed the right systems and processes, which allow us to deliver creative financial planning and wealth management solutions with proven effectiveness. We are particularly proud of this regime of strategic leaders and in particular Nicky Cave who is the head of our Care Fees Planning Division. Nicky was awarded the UK’s Best Long Term Care Adviser Award at the Health Insurance Awards in 2003. Also within Ayot Mead we have Stuart Edmunds, who amongst other achievements has recently launched his unique programme to help people effectively purchase properties abroad, to significant acclaim.

As you would expect from our comprehensive structure of financial advisers, many of our clients are referred to us from other financial professionals, such as solicitors and accountants. We also run a number of training programmes designed to help other professional bodies understand the unique financial planning needs of the over 50s.

You may be interested as to why we have chosen the name Ayot Mead.

We are based near the three villages of Ayot St. Lawrence, Ayot St. Peter and Ayot Green. An Ayot (eyot) is an island in a river or stream. The old Roman Baths near Old Welwyn were built on a river called Dickett Mead. Therefore, just as we combine different skill-sets to form a strong business, we have used the combination of Ayot and Mead to form a strong business identity. You may have noticed the references to land and water in our coat of arms.
